We have ordered (2 weeks ahead) for over 400 euros for our team lunch. Delivery between 10:15 and 12:15 arrived before 13:00. We were ok with loosing 15 mins of our lunch break (worse case scenario) but not the whole one. There is no phone number to call. From 11:50 we tried any number we could find online, finally got the Delivery Manager on the phone but learned nothing from her... I have no idea how this rude person still holds her job.
I've sent them an email asking for the estimated time of arrival... got a response at 12:18 that there is traffic and manifestations. Exki is about 5 mins away from our office. If I have known they decided to cruise around the whole city I would have gone grab the order myself.
The veggie plate was not fresh, it was made 1 or 2 days ago. The sandwiches were ok'ish but definitely not made today.
It's just not worth the price and the hustle. Sad.

I ordered a matcha frappe for 3.85 euros. I don't know how much matcha was put in there because I got a milk frappe. It mostly tasted like whole milk. There was a very slight tint of light green and a few green specks.

I watched the barista pour the frappe from the blender into my plastic cup, but the top was too foamy so it was making a mess as she tried to put a lid on it. She gave up and dumped out a bit of the drink, put the lid on, and wiped the side of the cup. There was minimal effort wiping the cup because when she handed it to me, it was still really wet... So little care into my milk frappe and I don't like milk that much );

Besides the fail frappe, the inside is cozy and great for waiting for the train.

The staff speak English and French fluently.

The food is really good, with a whole range of vegetarian and vegan options, all of high quality. The cheesecake (4,15€) was superb - fluffy and light, with a spéculos base - as was the rosemary focaccia with mozzarella, Parma ham and zucchini (4,80€).

You need a code (found at the bottom of your receipt) for the toilet!

Four work colleagues and I decided to try this healthy, fast alternative, based on other reviews. Hmmm...this did not work out! Out of the four, none really liked it. I do not recall what others had...but I had a salad and a slice of pizza. Both were just barely edible.

My salad was basically tasteless...the veg was fresh-ish, but not really. The pizza was served cold and you warmed it up in a microwave! Not exactly what I am paying over $10 for.

Would not return...

I first discovered Exki some years ago when walking around in Brussels looking for a snack. I was impressed by the atmosphere of the shop (Exki Luise) and only later found out, that this is a chain that not only stretches all over Brussels but also in the Netherlands and Luxemburg.


Exki claims that fast food does not have to be bad food. They offer a wide variety of sandwhiches, quiches, soupe, salads and drinks. I would guess, that they have something for every taste. Prices are a bit higher than you would usually expect and there is a surcharge for eating in.


However the taste is good and quality was always ok!


Be aware, that sandwhiches sell out quickly - so do not expect to find a variety in the afternoon. I had to discover this when planning to take a snack on the train. At 5.30pm the shelves were empty.


So: 5 stars for food quality, 3 stars for the price level. It would be nice could it be cheaper - but I hope you get what you pay for!

Basically like a Pret or Upper Crust. Doubly so since this one's in the train station.

Although they don't have the most amazing selection of sandwiches, the fancy ham and cheese baguette I nom'd on earlier was decent. I also had an iced green tea with cane sugar and lemon that was actually quite good.

I absolutely love exki ..its my healthy place when in Brussels and I always look for one as there are many. The assortment is always really good and fresh and they cater to a sweet tooth to as they have fresh pies and cake to order ...love that they have yogi tea and mini carrot chocolate that they server with it :-)

Great for English speaking vegetarians! I eat at Exki whenever I'm in Brussels because it's quick and tasty. The ingredients on all the dishes are written in French, Flemish, and English and the vegetarian things are clearly labeled as such. Vegans will do fairly well here, too, as some of the vegetarian offerings don't have cheese. They're good about labeling everything and using high quality ingredients. This particular Exki (there are quite a few in Brussels) is always a bit crowded at lunch.

Life saver for me when travelling!!! Needed simple, fresh, gluten free food. The salads and fruit juices were just right for me. Lots of locations, place to sit but that costs more!

If you're stuck for something to do on a Sunday and let's face it_ Brussels on a Sunday is pretty quiet, then this is the place to be. You will be tempted to buy the lovely olives, sausages, plants and all the hudreds of things on offer. One word of advice, be aware of pickpockets as lots of people report losing their purses in the crowd_ don't let this stop you from going to enjoy a fun day out. I have been and thankfully all my possessions were in tact.
