All I ordered was their Alvik bread loaf. It was very good flavor and texture wise. And the lady at the counter was helpful at explaining the differences between their loafs.
Though I did not stay to eat, the interior is cozy and well designed.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Steven H.Stockholm2215351 maj 2018
One of the best places to enjoy a good breakfast. You can take to-go with the wonderfull sandwiches they provide or go for a more luxury plate and sit at the store.
A must for breakfast loversHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oliver J.Stockholm1515016410 sep. 2015
Brioche, which is a part of Brunkebergs bageri, is a café and bakery that serves breakfast and lunch. The seating capacity is plentiful in their well-planned facilities, so you do not need to worry about getting a seat. Besides, if you do not want to eat here, they have loads of things to purchase back home. In addition to the wide selection of wonderful bread and pastries, you may also check out their deli shelf that has some interesting products.
As their name indicates, this place focuses on the French bread brioche. But although my dish was flavorful, the bread was slightly dry - something that shouldn't occur at this very place. Maybe I was unlucky, because if you read the other reviews, this has not been a problem before.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Miss M.Stockholm59174203729 sep. 2015
I liked the atmosphere here! I think it's really especially nice when you stumble on something unique and wonderful a little outside the city center. I've walked past here on numerous occasions heading to and from somewhere because Alvik is a big transportation spot. Instead of just traveling past this place to get on the green line, I will now be thinking of it as a destination. I didn't realize what a real gem we had here! Their website says they are featured as a "very good class" restaurant in the White Guide and they were nominated as the best cafe of the year by DN (the newspaper) for 2015!
They had both breakfast and lunch options here--all with homemade bread. It's both a cafe and a bakery so you can purchase bread, cakes and small artisanal food items to take with you. The club sandwich here is the most amazing club I've ever had. LOVED IT! Moist chicken on a brioche slice is the way to go. The caesar salad is also great! The chicken on top is served with the bone in, adding a lot more flavor than the traditional drier chicken breast. The croutons were toasted and soft homemade ones. I suspect that they were brioche (keeping with the theme deliciously!) The dressing could have used a bit more parmesan, but overall everything together was really pretty good! I can only imagine how good the other sandwiches must taste on their delicious baked bread! I will be back to load up on more gluten some day! ;) The coffee was also pretty good--my soya latte tasted great! The staff were also super nice and brought everything out to us quickly when it was ready! There are also quite a few delicious options for a fika or desert break that look insanely good. I think the thing I am most excited to come back and try is the breakfast french toast and eggs Benedict. Saturday brunch.... here I come! =)
The only thing that I think could have been improved on would be to add a few electricity outlets and some more comfortable working tables so I could plug in and get some work done! But, thats just me ;) I also want another location in Liljeholmen....even closer to home! A girl can hope.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Frida M.Stockholm61037912 aug. 2016
I absolutely love this place. I live a 5 km walk away, and gladly see this destination as my walk towards Kalspader-heaven! Yes, the Kalspader bun is my favorite, the butter filling is to die for! Yester we also tried their dark sourdough bread, and it was delicious! Prices are high, but quality lives up to it.
