Waxholms Hotell

Har ju ätit så bra lunch här men denna gång var det inte så. Vi fick vänta längre än de hade lovat på maten och vi hade en bestämd båt att passa och vi var noga direkt med att fråga. Sen kom maten till sist. Vi var fem personer och alla tyckte att det var okej men inte mer....och min Cesarsallad nådde nästan inte ens upp till det. Hamburgarna var ok....men inte mer. Klyftpotatisen som serverades där till var dock riktigt bra.
Prisklass hög. Från 180 o uppåt för lunch.....hm.

Totala intrycket blir bara 3 stjärnor och till det priset känns det väl lågt. Tror att det finns betydligt bättre att finna i Vaxholm, trots dess fina läge nära båtarna, som dock inte kan kompensera för maten.

Dropped in here for a beer an a place to chill out for a bit. The beer I got was really tasty and out seats were really comfortable beside the bar on couch style seats. It had a great view an really made you feel like your in they heart of the island.
I decided against staying here for dinner as the lines were long and reviews were low. For an island as small as this is there is a lot of reviews for n against places. After following a restaurant earlier today that had great reviews I've decided to not waste my short time here an go with what's recommended.
This place was great for a beer, food waste I can't judge :-)

We didn't know what to expect coming here. This is located right at the dock w the beautiful Fortress right across! Our room was European standard (small) but clean it faced the water which was nice. It had 2 side tables w a lamp, a desk w chair and 1 sitting chair, the closet had an iron/board. The bathroom had a towel warmer, blow dryer and the amenities they had in both the sink area and shower were the soap dispensers. No drawers for clothes but that was ok w us considering we were only there 2 nights. We ate downstairs *ground level and it was very nice. I had the Baltic fries herring w glass of white wine *it was good and husband had the burger (*he said it was just "OK"). For breakfast (*included) was in the main restaurant and it was quite nice, muesli w fixings, scrambled eggs (*which I found mushy), bacon, soft/hard boiled eggs, variety of cheeses/meats, sliced veggies, juices/tea/coffee/water, fresh breads/croissants. There's actually a couple of other restaurants outside of the gots that you would enjoy as well.
This is a very small place so don't expect a lot. We enjoyed strolling around and just soaking it all in. We would definitely return :)

Great visit to the hotel and Vaxholm area. Toured the local area and enjoyed the friendly staff. The rooms are small but very clean. The food was delicious and the view was perfect.
